Planning Ahead

We recently discovered that RENAP is requiring notarized copies of Prospective Adoptive Parent's passports before issuing the birth certificates. It's an ever changing world.

One of our little girl's bc definitely goes through RENAP since she is from Coban. The other baby girl's bc is from Mixco which will begin being a part of RENAP in September. As a time saver, we are sending copies ahead of time. Hopefully, this will cut some of the time off receiving their bc's. RENAP has been particularly slow recently sometimes taking 7 weeks to issue.

These are truly lessons in patience that we are learning. I cannot say it's been easy, but it has been fruitful spiritually.

No news yet from PGN...but hey, it's only been 4 days since resubmission. :)

Sorry to hear that things are so SLOW. I know this must be a painful process to wait and wait. God has His perfect timing. I DO beleive that the girls will be with you in time. The never ending paper work can not STOP God from doing what He wants. Intercessor prayers too:) There is no shut door that God can not open if He wants it open:) God will prevail:) Your little ones are in my prayers for them to get home with your forver family!! Brenda,

We are using One World out of Georgia. Totally different agency than the one in Florida. They actually contracted with Tree of Life out of Oregon for our referrals. What country are you looking at adopting from? I may be able to assist in directing you to some good agencies.

Monique,

Good to hear from you. Everyone is doing wonderfully here. Growing up way to fast for my liking :)

We had been approved thru Bethany Christian Services in Penn, hwne we were in NJ three years ago. I am aking God to show us the easiest way to reopen the file or go with a different agency. We were suppose to adopt two girls from Russia, but when we found out we were pregnant they informed us of a policy by which adopted children and new babies must be 6 months apart when entering a family, Victoria was to be born around the fifth month. We were very hurt and it has been a long recovery after a 1 1/2 yr investment of time and emotions. I know God was right in his way, it is walking thru it with an eternal perspective that is the challenge and is what is truly rewarding eternally, as He refines us in the process. So I am not sure what country, it is more or less what agency will not count it against us because we have eight children.
Money will be a challenge. Monique and I loved the pictures of your daughters who made the dresses? Monique makes Civil War Gowns:)
In Christ and for Christ,
Love,
